Najaran, that food-addicted, adventure-loving little Cepter, together with her magical, cane-shaped sidekick, Goligan, venture into the dark and dangerous forest of Bisteam! Many enter the forest to scavenge for its hordes of hidden treasure but few ever return. That's because the Gates to Bisteam's treasure are guarded vigilantly by Kigi, a ruthless young Cepter who also wields control of the Gate's guardian Gargoyle. After a run-in with the suspicious residents of Bisteam's only human settlement, Najaran and Goligan team up with Alta, a member of a league of tenacious treasure-hunters called Searchers, Joaquin, a brilliant alchemist, and a drunkenly fearless swordsman, Ganz. While journeying to the Gates, they encounter Dum-Dum, a cutthroat arms trader who want to plunder Bisteam. Ganz' butt-kicking swordsmanship saves them from Dum-Dum and his vicious soldiers. Najaran and her fellow travelers finally arrive at the Gates where Kigi awaits, expecting them. Together, they confront Kigi and take on the challenge of the Gates. The first challenge involves a room of rapidly multiplying gigantic mushrooms. Najaran, obeying her nature, starts feasting on them, with the help of her Knight card, but this only accelerates their multiplying.
