1876. No Edition Remarks. 918 pages. Full brown leather with gilt lettering to spine. All text block edges gilt. Note: a heavily damaged book with intense cracking. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Hinges heavily cracked and split with exposed netting; feels loose overall. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Foxing and tanning more noticeable towards start and end of book and on text block edges. Many dog-eared corners. Occasional minor marginalia and underlining. Block edges a little scratched and spotted. Boards have some edge wear, with slight bumping and peeling to corners, while spine ends are moderately crushed and rubbed. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Large split to front joint. Gilt slightly dulled.
