A-Z Lancaster Street Atlas by Geographers' A-Z Map Company

The back cover includes a coloured circular symbol that features our web site address. This new fully coloured street atlas extends from Lancaster, Heysham and Morecambe to Carnforth and Warton to the north, Caton to the west and Overton and the University of Lancaster to the south. This coverage and the page layout are shown on the key map on page one. The 28 pages of street mapping are at the scale of 4 inches to 1 mile and are based upon the national grid the values of which are shown around the page odges. The Reference panel on page 1 shows a new colour scheme that depicts important buildings with different colour infills e.g. educational establishments have an orange infill and hospitals and hospices have a green infill. Roads that have restricted access are shown with a purple infill and pedestrianized roads have a pink infill. Fire Stations and Post Offices are shown by red squares and stars respectively, while Police Stations are represented by a blue triangle. Parking symbols are shown in blue. The scale is shown in metric as well as imperial. In the 10 page street index section selected places of interest are included and highlighted in red type.
