A comprehensive listing of all known makes of car in Britain during the Vintage period 1919-1930, this illustrated encyclopaedia provides brief histories of all the vintage car makers - numbering in the hundreds - and more detailed discussion, with photographs, of representative models. Over 380 British and foreign car makers are mentioned, with over 600 pictures. Models such as Bentley, Morris, H.E., Sizaire-Berwick, Airedale abd Palladium are all covered.
Baldwin, Nick: - Nick Baldwin is a former chairman of the National Motor Museum Advisory Council, and owns several old tractors and historic vehicles. He has written a number of books about tractors and commercial vehicles, and is currently compiling an A-Z of the more than five thousand tractor makers that have existed in the past hundred years for 'Tractor and Machinery' magazine.
