The feel-good place to buy books

Jaroslav Hasek (1883-1923) authored almost 2,000 short works, short stories, glosses, and sketches, most of which were published under numerous pen names. Hasek, a prankster and pillar of countless bars around Bohemia, was drafted into the Austro-Hungarian army during WWI and spent much of the war in a Russian prisoner-of-war camp. Following the war, Hasek began writing The Good Soldier Svejk, a scathing and funny satire that was cruelly left incomplete at his early death and was, by several metrics, certainly unfinishable.
