An Abolitionist's Handbook by Patrisse Cullors

In THE ABOLITIONIST'S HANDBOK, Khan-Cullors charts a framework for how everyday activists can effectively fight for the liberation of Black people and the poor and disenfranchised, force reform, create a meaningful plan for reparations, and teach each other how to truly love our fellow (wo)man. Filled with relatable pedagogy on the history of abolitionism, a declaration of policies and institutions that need reform and actionable ways to get it done, a reimagining of what reparations look like for the forgotten, and real-life anecdotes from Cullors and an array of people fighting for true equity, THE ABOLITIONIST'S HANDBOK offers a bold, innovative, and humanistic approach to how to be an productive modern-day abolitionist, leading with love, fierce compassion, and precision.

In THE ABOLITIONIST'S HANDBOK readers will learn how to:

- have courageous conversations
- move away from reaction and towards response
- take care of oneself while fighting for others
- turn inter-community conflict into a positive opportunity
- navigate mainstream media requests
- expand one's imagination, think creatively, and find the courage to experiment
- make justice joyful
- practice active forgiveness
- make space for difficult feelings and honor mental health
- practice non-harm and cultivate compassion

THE ABOLITIONIST'S HANDBOK is for those who are socially minded and conscious and looking to change the systemic issues that promote the racial, gender and class disparity and inequality that has harmed and continues to harm all of us.
