Carter, John: - John Carter was born in north Wiltshire in 1952. He has always had a fascination with humorous illustrations, possibly stemming from early visits to the dentist and looking through Punch Magazine. A great admirer of the illustrators, Edward Lear and George Cruikshank, John has developed his own style over the years. In this first collection of Absolute Stuff 'n' Nonsense, John has created a cast of imaginary characters poking fun at everyday life and events through rhyme and illustration. John continues to write and draw, dividing his time between Wiltshire and the Limousin region of France.
