Since 2007, when he founded the popular PHANTASM ARCHIVES website, Dustin McNeill has been lurking behind the scenes of PHANTASM. He wrote the cover story for HORRORHOUND #17 in 2009. This issue, which included a retrospective on his PHANTASM 30th anniversary, immediately sold out. McNeill worked as a consultant on THE BALL IS BACK documentary and helped manage supplemental materials for Scream Factory's PHANTASM II Blu-ray release in 2012. In 2014, he released the companion book PHANTASM EXHUMED, which had an introduction by ANGUS SCRIMM.

The creators behind PHANTASM's 2016 Blu-ray boxsets used this carefully researched tome as a vital reference, and it was even acknowledged in Arrow Video's PHANZINE companion. Dustin McNeill's third novel is FURTHER EXHUMED.
