The Adventures of Jenny and Philip by Dawn Maria France
This classic story of Jenny and her best friend Philip, a talking cat, tells of their friendship and the adventures they enjoy. Jenny - who lives with Philip and her aunt and uncle -- aspires to be the naughtiest girl in the world but Philip hopes to teach her a lesson by taking her on adventures in her imagination. This is an original children's story set in Yorkshire with humour and a moral and ethical learning message for adults and older children to read to younger pre-school children. The book employs engaging characters and a storyline that instils a sense of a joy when read to children. The aim is for this to be the first in a series with new adventures and characters introduced to the reader with each book, retaining continuity from the main characters featured in Jenny's life-learning journey. Age range: 4-7 years old.
