An Afghan Journey by Roger Willemsen
Only a few months after a 25-year-long war ended in Afghanistan, Roger Willemsen accompanied a friend on her journey home: from Kabul to Kunduz, through the legendary steppe to the river Oxus, the boundary to Tajikistan. This is his journal of adventurous travels in an awakening country.
