KENNETH OPPEL is the author of a number of children's books. His award-winning Silverwing trilogy, which has been transformed into an animated TV series and a stage play, has sold over a million copies worldwide. Michael L. Smith Award was given to Airborn. The sequel, Skybreaker, was a New York Times bestseller and was awarded Children's Novel of the Year by The Times (London). It also won the Printz Honor Book Award and the Governor General's Literary Award. Half Brother, This Evil Endeavor, Such Wicked Intent, The Unbound, The Nest, and Every Hidden Thing are among his other works.
Kenneth Oppel was born on Vancouver Island and has resided in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, England, and Ireland. With his wife and children, he now lives in Toronto.
