Jamila Gavin was born in India, in the foothills of the Himalayas. She is one of Britain’s most acclaimed children’s authors, winning the Whitbread Award for her novel Coram Boy, which was staged at the National Theatre in 2005/6. Jamila lives in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
David Parkins studied wildlife illustration and graphic design, before becoming a full time freelance illustrator. He is a diverse artist, who has been successfully published in a variety of newspapers, comics as well as children's books. David lives in Ontario, Canada.
