All the Perverse Angels by Sarah Marr
A rich and lyrical novel spanning Victorian Oxford to 1980s London about the nature of loss and the confusion of love, about the stories we are told and the stories we tell ourselves
"Sarah KMarr’s first novel is subtle, original and intelligent. It creates a fully realised and engaging world peopled by complex characters. Rich in reference and resonance, this is an exciting exploration of image, illusion and betrayal" -- Alice Jolly
Sarah K. Marr started writing fiction at school, but got distracted. After studying law, anthropology and theoretical physics at the Universities of Oxford, Manchester and London, respectively, she finally returned to her first love and wrote "All the Perverse Angels". She lives in London, where she spends too much time in art galleries and buys too many second-hand books.
