Hilary Vernon has spent sixteen years in the saddlery trade, advising clients on saddlery and horse equipment. She is a qualified riding instructor and a keen amateur whip. She lives in Berkshire, owns several horses and her hobbies include carriage driving, classical music, computer technology and the theatre. Hilary gives demonstrations and lectures on bitting and sadlery in the UK and abroad, and is currently working on the fifth book in the series, The Allen Illustrated Guide to Harness.
