The Alternative Gospel by John C Baldock

John spent several years in France, where he studied art history at the École du Louvre in Paris, after first training as a painter and art instructor. A fascination with the symbolism of medieval religious art led to an interest in holy art as a manifestation of a deeper spiritual dimension. When John returned to England, he began teaching art history but finally left to finish a book about the spiritual side of religious symbolism. John's experience as a freelance editor and editorial consultant for a mind, body, and spirit publisher has allowed him to pursue his interest in mainstream faiths' spiritual cores, particularly Judaeo-Christian-Islamic teachings. He has given seminars on these and similar topics all over Europe and the United States.

He's also done extensive research on the world's numerous religious systems. John continues to question the literal interpretation of spiritual teachings as he embarks on his own journey, a staunch believer in the value of personal inquiry of the spiritual side of our life.
