Ian Ronayne lives on the small but historically important British Channel Island of Jersey. His passion for military history comes from an upbringing there, surrounded by legacies from centuries of wars and conflicts. In 2009, this interest led to Ian's first book, the acclaimed Ours: The Jersey Pals in the First World War. Since then, he has written two more books and numerous articles. Today, Ian devotes much of his time to further writing projects. He also works as a tour guide, lectures on the subject of military history and undertakes research projects.
