Amelia Bedelia and the Baby by Peggy Parish
Learn to read with the classic Amelia Bedelia! Ever since Amelia Bedelia made her debut in 1963, young readers have been laughing out loud at the antics of this literal-minded but charming housekeeper.
Amelia Bedelia says, "I don't know a thing about babies," so she has her hands full when she takes care of Mrs. Lane's baby. As usual, everyone's favorite quirky housekeeper mixes things up, but she also wins the heart of her newest and youngest fan. This Level 2 I Can Read is perfect for kids who read on their own but still need a little help.
"No child can resist Amelia [Bedelia] and her literal trips through the minefield of the English language--and no adult can fail to notice that she's usually right when she's wrong."--The New York Times Book Review
Peggy Parish is a South Carolina native who grew up in Manning. She taught school in the Panhandle and coal-mining areas before going to New York City. Her first employment in New York City was with the Girl Scouts, and she is now a third-grade teacher at Manhattan's Dalton School. Miss Parish has written several other children's books, including the classic Let's Be Indians.
