O'Connell, Libby H.: - Libby H. O'Connell is senior vice president of Corporate Outreach and chief historian to the History Channel. Since joining A&E Television Network as a consultant in 1993, she has developed significant promotional alliances with such organizations as the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Civil War Trust, and National History Day. She is an Emmy Award-winning educator, historian, preservationist, and documentary producer. She is also the author of several books, including Save Our History, White House-200th Anniversary, History of Halloween, and History Classroom-The Civil War (Spring 2011) the Idea Book for Educators. She has taught history at Long Island University and has served as president of Raynham Hall Museum on Long Island. Libby lives in New York City.
