An African ABC by Jacqui Taylor
This anthology of alphabetical verse is designed for anybody between four and 104 years of age. Young children will enjoy the sound of the words read to them, and older children will be stimulated to improve and increase their vocabularies. Illustrations that highlight the flora, fauna, places and customs of Africa accompany the charming alliterations.
Jacqui Taylor worked for a number of years as an illustrator for advertising agencies in London and her native Zimbabwe. While living in Hong Kong Jacqui started writing A Hong Kong ABC Book for her son Christopher. This eventually lead to An African ABC, in which she has woven her children, Christopher and Lauren, their pet cat and their playmates into the illustrations. She currently runs her own design company, Fraser Design, in Zimbabwe.
