"An Honorable Profession" by Pierre Salinger

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the assassination of RFK, Doubleday/Main Street Books reissues a collection of articles and photos from the time immediately after the event. Part of the proceeds goes to the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Fund, which rewards individuals who have accomplished themselves in the area of human rights. Authorized by the Kennedy family.
Pierre Salinger was a concert pianist at age 6, a decorated naval hero at age 20, and an award-winning journalist by the time he was 26. At age 35, Salinger became press secretary for John F. Kennedy. During President Kennedy's brief tenure, Salinger participated in many events of unparalleled historic significance. Salinger later became a US senator and then worked in television and film. He died in 2004.
