She lives with her two terriers in the North of England, and all three of them are now growing old peacefully together. After the many trials, storms and shatterings of the last few years, Hattie and the dogs are all grateful to have learned a way to be, and a way to live positively whilst co-existing with grief. They are moving together through the strangeness of life in a pandemic. Hattie’s background is in social work, mental health training, counselling and mindfulness teaching. She now lives quietly, manages her multiple sclerosis as best she can, and focuses on finding the small joys in everyday life. She remembers each day the true value of kindness.
