Angry Dragon by Thierry Robberecht

When a little boy hears no from his mother one time too many, he feels his anger rising. It burns and builds, finally turning him into a giant dragon that destroys everything in its path. Nothing is safe: not toys or stuffed animals--not even Mom and Dad. But fortunately, a dragon's fire doesn't last forever. The simple, bold illustrations give shape to the power that emotions have to overwhelm and transform us, and vividly bring to life the angry dragon that lurks inside us all.
Robberecht, Thierry: - Thierry Robberecht(1960) has two children and lives in Brussels (Belgium). He has been writing children's books for fifteen years now, often about subjects that children find difficult to talk about, e.g. secrets, death, envy and rage. He likes to create characters who feel like they don't fit in. His own childhood is an excellent source of inspiration for that. Besides picture books, he also writes novels and comics. In his novels, usually detectives, the most common theme is a family secret. In order to grow up and move on, his heroes have to reveal a mistake their parents made but never admitted. The families have often torn apart, so the secrets perfectly fit in. He tries to make the stories exciting, with a touch of humor. For his comics, Thierry usually works with illustrator Marco Paulo. Their comic strips are also about family but in a more humorous, sharp and light way. Parents are defeated by the speed of the world and by their loving but sometimes unconsciously cruel children. Finally, he has written lyrics for Belgian singers like Marka and Jeff Bodart.
