Animal A-Z by Laura Sommer
Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces is a Web-based, artificially intelligent assessment and learning system. ALEKS uses adaptive questioning to quickly and accurately determine exactly what a student knows and doesn't know in a course. ALEKS then instructs the student on the topics she is most ready to learn. As a student works through a course, ALEKS periodically reassesses the student to ensure that topics learned are also retained. ALEKS courses are very complete in their topic coverage and ALEKS avoids multiple-choice questions. A student who shows a high level of mastery of an ALEKS course will be successful in the actual course she is taking.
Sommer, Laura: - Laura Sommer was born and raised in England, U.K. and immigrated to the USA in 2009. With a degree in Fine Art and 20 years as a former high school Art teacher, Laura is now a full-time artist who draws, paints, laser engraves and creates mixed-media pieces. She sells her work at local art markets, online, in shows, at businesses, and loves to create commissioned work. She is excited to publish her first book, 'Animal A-Z' that features a whole alphabet of her own black pen illustrations. This style of drawing began when she drew a collection of sea- creatures for her grandson's bedroom wall. Now she draws animals from all over the world, as well as other forms of nature.
