Arnold Griese is also the author of Anna's Athabaskan Summer and The Way of Our People. He has been involved with the Athabaskan people since 1951, when he moved fromMiami to the Athabaskan village of Tanana. He lives with his wife in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Glo Coalson lived for more than a year in an Eskimo village before she moved to New York City to illustrate children's books. Among the books she has illustrated are On Mother's Lap and High, both by Ann Herbert Scott. She lives in Dallas, Texas.
