The Anodyne Necklace by Martha Grimes

The Anodyne Necklace by Martha Grimes

Rather than telling you what the book of Philemon, 2 John, 3 John, and Jude teach, this edition of New Testament books on F.I.R.E. imparts the skills to discover its life-changing message for yourself. Students of the Bible will journey through Philemon, 2 John, 3 John, and Jude, one paragraph at a time, applying the four F.I.R.E. principles:

Familiarity: Learn to ask probing questions and become intimately acquainted with each passage.

Interpretation: Determine the intended meaning of the text.

Relationship. Consider the paragraph within its context of Ephesians and beyond, to the whole of Scripture.

Employment. Consider how God can employ you to do His will through your new understanding of the text.

Through this creative approach to inductive Bible study, readers will gain lifelong skills to grow in maturity as a disciple of Jesus, applying the Living Word in powerful new ways.

BIO

Ken Burge (BA, Washington Bible College; MA and MDiv, Capital Bible Seminary; DMin, Dallas Theological Seminary) is the pastor of Colmar Manor Bible Church in Washington DC. Ken and his wife, Kimberly, have three adult sons.

Ken Burge gives us masterful explanations and applications of the four small epistles of Paul, John, and Jude in this book. The reader of this book will be challenged to 'grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, ' because Christ will set his soul on F.I.R.E while reading this book and applying its principles.

--James E. Lawson I, Pastor, New Carrollton Bible Church, Lanham, Maryland

Pastor Burge's F.I.R.E. technique is an excellent tool. He explains the Scripture passage by asking pertinent questions, he provides extra Bible references related to the reading and then suggests ways to put what you learn into practice. A perfect devotional
