Michael D'Alessio has a B.S. in Business Administration. Seton Hall University awarded him a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's degree in science. University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. Seton Hall University awarded him an Executive Master of Arts in Educational Leadership in 2004. D'Alessio has a long history of teaching math and science at all levels, including AP(R) statistics, chemistry, biology, physics, algebra, calculus, and geometry.

D'Alessio was named New Jersey Governor's Teacher of the Year in 2003 for his work at Warren's Watchung Hills Regional High School. D'Alessio was named National Honor Society Teacher at the Year by the students of Watchung Hills Regional in 2005, and he received a Certificate of Recognition of Excellence in Science Teaching from Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society of Rutgers University, in 2004. D'Alessio currently works at Watchung Hills Regional High School as the Director of Science, Instructional Technology, and Assessment.
