5 star Amazon review

‘Really useful book which guides students through each of the skills required for each section of the exam. Currently using this as part of my post-16 teaching and it's great.’
5 star Amazon review

‘We have been using the Collins AQA GCSE English Language for Post-16 textbook and teacher guide since September 2017.

The textbooks have been particularly useful across the department – it is very reassuring to know that students are being exposed to texts and practice assessment materials which they have not seen before. We find students are quickly put off by material they feel they are ‘re-doing’. A range of texts that are new to students is also essential for rigorously assessing students in preparation for unseen exams. The structure of the activities in the textbook is very clear for students and the tasks effectively build up the relevant skills for each question type. This is especially important given the variety of different assessment objectives across the exams. The texts that have been chosen are suitably challenging, mirroring the level of texts that students encounter in the exams.

The clear objectives and structure of the text book lessons also make them valuable for setting cover / catch up work.’
