Muhamad Haripin is a Researcher at the Centre for Political Studies–Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Pusat Penelitian Politik–LIPI), Jakarta. He is also the author of Civil–Military Relations in Indonesia: The Politics of Military Operations Other Than War (Routledge, 2019).
