Around the World in GAA Days by Aaron Dunne
From its humble beginnings in the lobby of a Thurles hotel in the late nineteenth century, the GAA has grown to become one of the biggest amateur sporting organisation in the world, spreading its wings to all corners of the globe in the process. This book documents the rise of Ireland's national games.
Aaron Dunne is from Dublin and is the Deputy Editor of the Irish Echo in Sydney. He formerly worked as the Sports Editor for the Gazette Group of Newspapers in Dublin and was awarded an MA in Culture, Religion and Society in Modern Ireland in 2004 from the National University of Ireland.
