Rudolf Wittkower was the Durning-Lawrence Professor of Art History at the University of London, the chairman of Columbia University's department of art history and archaeology, the Kress Professor at the National Gallery in Washington, and the Slade Professor at Cambridge. Jennifer Montagu was the keeper of the Photography Collection at the University of London's Warburg Institute for many years. Professor of art history and archaeology at Columbia University, Joseph Connors Princeton University's Howard Crosby Butler Memorial Professor of Art History and Archaeology is John Pinto.
