Art Nouveau Cross Stitch by Barbara Hammet
Recognisable designs from famous turn of the century artists are cleverly translated into fabulous cross stitch patterns. The Japanese-influenced Bamboo, Blossom and Birds by Tiffany glows from a needlework box, and Chartes Rennie Mackintosh's classic stylised rose appears on elegant cushions, a rose lady picture and trinket pot lids. Other projects feature Walter Crane's delightful flower ladies worked as a set of pictures and Alphonse Mucha's stylish 'Champagne Lady' raising her glass to the coming century.
