This book is also a source of ideas for entertaining and special occasions as well as for daily meals.Sally Schneider is a culinary writer and stylist whose work has featured in publications such as Vogue Elle, Saveur, Self, Working Woman, and Health, as well as the Los Angeles Times and New York Times. She was a contributing editor to Food & Wine and the author of the monthly Well-Being section throughout her six years as a professional chef. In 1991, her first cookbook, The Art of Low-Calorie Cooking, was honored with a James Beard Award. In 1995, she won a second James Beard award for an article she wrote for Saveur. A New Way to Cook is the result of ten years of investigation. She currently resides in New York City.
