Phil Szostak has spent eight years at Lucasfilm working with the Star Wars art departments and is the author of The Art of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Abrams, 2015). Szostak, a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York, worked for Wild Brain Animation on the Disney Channel series Higglytown Heroes and headed the JAK Films Art Department on Skywalker Ranch for more than three years before joining LucasArts' Star Wars 1313 narrative design team. He is currently based in San Francisco.
