Professor Sir David Spiegelhalter FRS OBE is the Director of the Winton Institute for Risk and Evidence Communication at the University of Cambridge's Centre for Mathematical Sciences. The Art of Numbers, his best-selling book, was released in March 2019. He was knighted in 2014 for services to medical statistics, served as President of the Royal Statistical Society from 2017 to 2018, and joined the UK Statistics Authority as a Non-Executive Director in 2020.
