Marina Belozerskaya is the author of The Medici Giraffe and Other Tales of Exotic Animals and Power (Little Brown, 2006), which Publisher's Weekly called 'a sumptuous read - smart, funny and utterly compelling', and Entertainment Weekly called 'a marvellous look at the ultimate in pet projects'. Born in the Soviet Union and raised in Moscow and then Boston, Belozerskaya trained as an art historian at the University of Chicago. She lives in Los Angeles.
