Discusses the terms, movements, and major artists in the modern American and European art world.Robert (Bob) Atkins is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Nurse Faculty Scholar and an assistant professor at Rutgers University College of Nursing. Professor Atkins opted to study nursing after graduating from Brown University with a degree in political science and American cultures. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1995 and began working as a school nurse in Camden, New Jersey. Professor Atkins got a Master of Science in Nursing and became a pediatric nurse practitioner while working as a school nurse at Rutgers University. After earning his bachelor's degree, he began conducting research on the elements that influence children's health and well-being, and he began doctorate studies at Temple University.
Professor Atkins earned his PhD from Temple University's School of Public Health in 2004. Dr. Atkins is the co-founder and president of the Camden STARR Program, a community-based, non-profit youth development organization dedicated to improving the lives of Camden's children and adolescents.
