Julian Rathbone's first book was published in 1967 and has been followed by more than 30 novels and one work of non-fiction, translated into fifteen languages. Twice nominated for the Booker Prize, he has been awarded the Deutsches Krimi Preis and the prestigious Crime Writers' Association Macallan Short Story Award. A contributor to various newspapers, magazines and periodicals, he is also a successful television and film script writer whose work has been broadcast in over forty countries.
