Emily X.R.Pan was born in the Midwest of the United States to Taiwanese immigrant parents and now lives in Brooklyn, New York. She was a Goldwater Fellow at NYU's Creative Writing Program where she earned her Masters in fiction. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of Bodega Magazine, as well as a 2017 Djerassi Artist-in-Residence. Her debut novel is The Amazing Color of After.
