Paul Auster was born in Newark, New Jersey in the United States in 1947. After attending Columbia University, he lived in France for four years. Since 1974 he has published poems, essays, novels, screenplays and translations. He was the editor of the short story anthology, True Tales of American Life. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Isol (Marisol Misenta) was born in Buenos Aires in 1972. Her work, as an illustrator for media and as an author of illustrated children's books, has been published in Mexico, Spain, the United States, France, the United Kingdom and Argentina. She has been awarded numerous international prizes, and she was a recipient of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2013.
