August Benninghaus, 1880 in Druchhorn geboren, trat in den Jesuitenorden ein. Sein fester Glaube und sein offenes Wesen brachten Pater Benninghaus SJ unausweichlich in Konflikt mit den Machthabern ab 1933. Er starb 1942 im Konzentrationslager Dachau. P. Benninghaus ist zum M rtyrer geworden. Er legte Zeugnis ab f r das Leben, Sterben und Auferstehen Jesu Christi. Wegen dieses Zeugnisses hat er sein Leben durch Gewaltanwendung verloren. Das Blut der M r-ty-rer ist Samen f r neue Chris-ten. Ter-tul-lian (150-220 n. Chr.)
