He has been married for 27 years to Dana Nymeyer. Together they have endured the ups and downs that come with raising special needs children. Some of Luis' hobbies and interests are: participating in Special Olympic golf with both his boys, and officiating both baseball and basketball at the youth, high school, college, and professional levels.
