When Herakles reappears years later, Geryon confronts again the pain of his desire and embarks on a journey that will unleash his creative imagination to its fullest extent. Carson, Anne: - Anne Carson was born in Canada and teaches ancient Greek for a living. She has adapted The Bakkhai for the Almeida Theatre. Classic Stage Company in New York has produced Anne Carson's An Oresteia (a trilogy adapted from Aeschylus' Agamemnon, Sophocles' Electra and Euripides' Orestes) in repertory.
