Aztara, a Galactic Love Story, centers on two main characters and their magical creatures that they share a unique bond. The two main characters are caught up in their own personal grief. Shayla, an Earth woman, who finds life on Earth hardly worth living after being deceived by her husband, and having her only son die, is close to suicide. Ty, having lived through a plague that killed all the females on his planet, finds refuge in his work, mining a mineral instrumental to all aspect of life on Aztara, including telepathy, longevity, and levitation. Scientists from Surtees, a dying planet, relocate to Aztara to receive the benefits of phyrium. In their attempt to rebuild the Aztarian population, they import Earth women who carry a particular gene, the warrior gene, to mate with the Aztarian men. The story is about finding love, trust and internal strength as well as romance, intrigue, and thrills while the two main characters come to grips with a situation, not of their own choosing.
Carole was born in a small Mid-Western town in Nebraska. Over a thirty-year period, Carole resided in Nebraska, Oregon, California, Texas, and Ohio. With diverse living situations, meeting many fascinating characters and recognized for a vivid imagination, Carole wrote secretly for many years...enjoying children's literature, Mystery, and Science Fiction/Fantasy as a platform for expressive writing. Carole lives presently in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Don, her childhood sweetheart and partner, their pet dogs, several chickens and many fish. As a teaching assistant, Carole teaches Literacy to 'at-risk' children in grades one through five. Aztara, A Galactic Love Story, is the first published book in the Aztarian Series. Aztara, Secrets Revealed, is also available. Carole published in the summer of 2017 a mystery book series, Evers and McFarlan Detective Series. Final Alumni and Shadowy Faces, both are available today. I Started a Fantasy Series in the fall of 2017 for young people. The Little Dragon is the first book in the Child Rowanda Series, Return to Arolsen will be available in the summer of 2018.
