Badgers on the Highland Edge by Jim Crumley

The author has worked a patch of the Highland Edge - the landscape where the last of the high fields and wooded hills buttress on to the first of the mountains - and it colours much of his writing. Badgers didn't feature in his writing, however, because at the time they had been driven out of the area. But his determination to find badgers and write about them lead him through a conspiracy of circumstances to a troubled foray among Lowland setts near Edinburgh. This book describes his experiences.
