Barnstormers by Skipper David
This is a rites-of-passage story about a gang of friends and the daring quest they undertake. For three years, the Barnstormers have been meeting regularly in a deserted electronic substation they call "the Barn". There's Jack, the story's narrator, tough, rebellious Cal, Tyler, the clown, Kelly, the only girl, and the gang's newest member, Ben. It's October and the mood is still subdued from the tragic event of the summer, when Cal's younger brother Toby drowned. When Tyler first mentions the notorious "Spook House", scene of a notorious triple murder, no one pays much attention. They're all too busy worrying about the very real threat of Arnie Corman and his thuggish gang - except for Cal that is. His obsession with an old motor-bike named Lightning brings him into direct conflict with Arnie. It's as a result of this feud that the Barnstormers come to undertake a momentous expedition to the Spook House, where this rites-of-passage tale comes to a thrilling climax. David Skipper is also the author of "Runners", "Shadowshow" and "Quest".| SKU | Unavailable |
