Basic Drawing by Charles Williams
Drawing, the most basic of the visual arts, is often seen as a natural ability, but it can be learnt. Working from observation in pencil, pen or charcoal helps you to see clearly, increases your visual awareness and enhances your ability to design in two dimensions.
Charles Williams is a figurative artist who has been painting and exhibiting regularly since graduating from the Royal Academy School's postgraduate department in 1992. He has shown frequently at the RA Summer Exhibition and has had several one-man shows in major London galleries. Elected a member of the New English Art Club (NEAC) in 1996, he was also elected to the Royal Watercolour Society in 2006, as well being a founder member of the notorious Stuckists.
