Written by LEE BERMEJO Art and cover by LEE BERMEJO Inspired by Charles Dickens’ immortal classic A Christmas Carol, BATMAN: NOEL features different interpretations of The Dark Knight, along with his enemies and allies, in different eras, from writer/artist Lee Bermejo (JOKER). In this spectacular, oversized graphic novel, Batman must come to terms with his past, present and future as he battles villains from the campy 1960s to dark and brooding menaces of today, while exploring what it means to be the hero that he is.At the age of 19, Lee Bermejo began drawing comics for WildStorm Studios in San Diego. With the comic novels Joker and Luthor, he cooperated with famed writer Brian Azzarello, and on the Superman feature in Wednesday Comics, he collaborated with writer John Arcudi. He's also collaborated with Mike Carey on Hellblazer and Warren Ellis on Global Frequency. Beginning with Filthy Rich, written by Brian Azzarello, and Dark Entries, written by Ian Rankin, Bermejo has illustrated the covers for the Vertigo Crime graphic novels. Bermejo has been a resident of Italy since 2003.
