Bears In The Forest Library Edition by Wallace Karen
Deep in a forest cave, a mother bear gives birth to two tiny cubs. As they grow, she teaches them how to climb and fish, and all the things they need to know to survive in the wild. For one day, during the second summer, they will leave her to find homes of their own.
Karen Wallace was born in Canada and grew up in a log cabin in Quebec. She has done many jobs in her life including working in public relations, running her own publishing company, making pizzas, singing in a cabaret act and a bluegrass band - but throughout her life she has always made up stories and wanted to be a writer. Her books include Bears in the Forest and Think of an Eel. Barbara Firth is a Kate Greenaway Medal-winning illustrator and has worked on numerous picture books by Martin Waddell including the 1989 Kurt Maschler Award-winning The Park in the Dark. She lives in West Yorkshire.
