Lizzie Reakes began using waste materials whilst at college due to experimentation and research into rag rug making. She obtained a degree for Carpet and Floor Covering Design and also a National Diploma in General Art and Design during this time. As well as floor coverings she produces wall hangings and small pieces for exhibition and for private clients. Her work has been featured on television and in several magazines including Vogue and Country Living. In between working on her own pieces, she teaches ragwork.
