He is the author of more than ninety books on design and popular culture, as well as a contributor or contributing editor of nearly twenty magazines, including Print, EYE magazine, Baseline magazine, I.D. magazine, Graphis, and Design Issues. Teresa Fernandes is a graphic designer and the principal of TFD Studio in Connecticut. She is the coauthor (with Steven Heller) of The Business of Illustration.
